Just after noon this afternoon, Luke Viker correctly guessed the Secret Phrase and won the $200.00. His payout DOUBLED since a few weeks ago he purchased a Toy for Madi Iversen's Christmas Toy Drive to honor Kristin.

The Ben Franklin leads came in in 2003. Three years later, in 2006, wealthy businessman and 'Kristin-supporter' Terry Black contacted SLO Detectives and demanded they follow up on this lead. A few days later, a Detective returned Mr. Black's phone call to inform him they just checked out the lead and it was nothing. Grand Island Mansion - Sacramento, CaTerry Black is the owner of the Grand Island Mansion up in Sacramento. The Smart family will forever be grateful for his personal help in trying to find Kristin. Mr. Black:
It really is very possible the this lead was checked out immediately by the SLO Sheriff's Department. If that is 'true' then I owe them a HUGE apology and I am more than happy to do so.
So now you know what I know about this tip. Mr. Blackburn was as sincere and genuine as a person can possibly be. Over time, he became 'professionally angry' because he wanted to help the Smarts but would not break the University's 'Privacy Laws' to do so. Barry tried, he really tried. NOTE: ***It took many more years - but eventually, even the SLO Detective confirmed that there was indeed a 'match'. So here is the $64,000.00 question: "Why would people in charge of looking for Kristin not want to speak with Barry Blackburn, the IT admin person at Sonoma State after Mr. Blackburn confirmed he was in possession of potentially valuable information that could help in the investigation? How does Kristin benefit from this lack of effort? 8th Clue....
`When I decided to share with you the 'Ben Franklin' lead, in my mind, I wanted to break it down into 2 distinct parts.
The rest of this promotion regards what I am able to share with you regarding this tip. I will share with you my perspective and allow you to draw your own conclusion. For today though, the basics are that:
Barry did share with us that, eventually, one day he WAS contacted by SLO Sheriff but the Detective only wanted to know if Barry had information that made it worthwhile for them to follow up and get the subpoena. Question: Why does it take over three years to contact Barry Blackburn to ask him if it was worthwhile to go get a subpoena? Barry assured the Detective that he did have information and to by all means go ahead and get the subpoena. Mr. Blackburn has since retired from Sonoma State having never received a subpoena from the SLO Sheriff's Department regarding this tip. Terry Black told me that he was informed by the Sheriff's Department that there was nothing to this lead. Barry Blackman says there was a match. Your 7th Clue...
Email Origination....
Note: I don not believe Moon was an employee but the I included his name since he often visited Paul at the station in the aftermath of Kristin's disappearance according to Ben Franklin.
Here, Ben Franklin goes to great lengths to describe the relationship that existed at the time between Paul Flores, Doug Roberts and Jeromy Moon. The author also goes on to say that 'David Karp' is a good guy and was definitely 'not' friends with Paul. David was just a co-worker of Paul's at the Union 76 gas station. Your 5th Clue...
I worked with Paul at that gas station....
Your 4th Clue...
Does It Add Up?Jeromy Moon was close friends with Paul back in 1996. The May 21st, 2003 Anonymous Tip makes the claim the Moon helped Flores that night. It doesn't add up and I want to show you why. Here is an excerpt from the June 20th, 2000 Search Warrant application that FBI Agent Jack Schafer worked on: Law Enforcement asked Moon about Flores' 'black eye'. Timeline:
Does it make any logical sense why Moon would ask Flores where he got the black eye if he was with Flores the day before? As I've said earlier, none of this is in a vacuum as Law Enforcement has spoken with Moon many times. I am not so much concerned with Jeromy ad I am with the overall series of 'Ben Franklin' emails and how aggressively this lead was pursued by SLO Sheriff's Department. I 100% do not mean to infer that they have not checked this lead out, but it is pretty obvious that, regarding this lead, things just are not adding up and Kristin just deserves all of our best efforts. Over the next week, you will see the remaining emails sent to me by [email protected] back in May of 2003. The 'bigger picture' will start to come in to focus and you will be able to see why these emails are potentially very important and who we think may have sent them. 3rd Clue...
Nine Days Later...Below is a screenshot of the 2nd communication I received from Ben Franklin. This was the first communication I received that came from the email address: [email protected]. (The initial contact was via the website guestbook). In this tip, the name 'Benjamin Franklin' surfaces for the first time. The date was May 30th, 2003. This tip explains the relationship between Jeremy Moon, Paul Flores and Doug Roberts. He/she describes the friendship between Paul and Jeromy at the time of Kristin's disappearance as though they were 'like brothers.' 2nd Clue...
May 21st: Fifteen Years Ago...I received a series of four or five communications from someone claiming to have information on at least some aspects of Kristin's disappearance. The 'first' contact was via an Anonymous Tip to our 'GuestBook', the remaining contacts were via email from a fabricated Yahoo email address: '[email protected]'. The next paragraph is highlighted in blue because it needs to be HIGHLY 'stressed': This information has come in anonymously so clearly it could be anyone talking about anything. We knew that as soon as it arrived. Fifteen years later...we still know that. The 'tip' directs us to Flores' close friend, Jeromy Moon, but I am not so much concerned about Moon as he has always been helpful to us. What I want you to focus on is that we 'think' we know who the author is, and if we are right, then what has been done about this 'tip'? Over the next month, I will walk you through all aspects of this lead and allow you to draw your own conclusions. ***ALSO - I have no idea as to what extent Law Enforcement has investigated this lead. All you are getting here over the next month is what I know from my own personal experience. It is VERY POSSIBLE Law Enforcement has done a great job with this lead. I'm just sharing with you my perspective and will leave it up to you to draw your own conclusion. Here is the first communication I received:
